- I mean, excited about weather.
Yeah.
It was when I was at WMBD; at that time it was AM, FM, and TV all in the same building.
- Right on University.
- Right.
Yeah.
So I was doing news for the AM side of things.
Really never thought about TV although we were all in the same newsroom together.
It was television, radio, and newsroom.
And I'd always loved weather, but I never really had thought that much about getting into TV because I was a long-haired bearded radio guy, you know?
And then Duane Wallace, the news director at the time, said, "I know you like weather, love weather.
We have an opening on Sunday nights on the TV side, you know, one weather cast a week.
We need somebody to do that.
You want to give it a try?"
So I got myself in front of the green screen, did it and practiced.
Got bitten by the bug, and I've been doing weather ever since.
- But you weren't a meteorologist to start with.
